Mahesh Babu is an Indian film actor, producer, and philanthropist who works in Telugu Film Industry. He is the youngest son of veteran actor Krishna Ghattamaneni.
In 1979, Mahesh started his acting career as a child artist in the Needa movie. He then acted in various films like Poratam, Sankharavam, Bazaar Rowdy, Mugguru Kodukulu, Gudachari 117, Koduku Diddina Kapuram, Anna Thamudu, and Balachandrudu.
In 1999, Mahesh made his debut as a lead role movie Raja Kumarudu opposite Bollywood actress Preity Zinta. He then acted in various super-hit movies like Yuvaraju, Murari, Arjun, Athadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, Businessman, SVSC, Srimanthudu, Bharat Ane Nenu, and Sarileru Neekevvaru.
In 2014, Mahesh started his own production house G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd and co-produced various movies like Srimanthudu, Brahmotsavam, Sarileru Neekevvaru, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Major.
He also owns the seven-screen Plex “AMB Cinemas” at Gachibowli along with Narayandas Narang of Asian Group.
In 2015, He adopted his father’s native village ‘Burripalem’, in the Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh state. He also sponsored more than 1000+ Children’s Heart Surgeries in association with Andhra Hospitals.
In 2019, Mahesh’s wax statue was unveiled in Madame Tussauds Singapore. When it comes to awards, He received 5 Filmfare, 4 Nandi, 3 South Indian International Movie, 3 CineMaa, and 2 Santosham Film Awards.
Currently, Mahesh acting in the untitled movie ‘SSMB28’ under Trivikram’s direction. After finishing the movie, Mahesh going to work with SS Rajamouli on a Big Project.
