Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu Biography:
Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is an Indian Model from India. She was crowned Miss Universe 2021 and became the third entrant from India to win Miss Universe. She was born on Friday, 3 March 2000 in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India.
Her father Pritampal Singh Sandhu is a realtor and her mother Rabinder Kaur Sandhu is a gynaecologist. She also has an elder brother named Harnoor.
She did her schooling in Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh and then finished her Post Graduate from Government College for Girls in Chandigarh.
In 2017, Sandhu started competing in pageantry as a teenager and won a couple of titles like Miss Chandigarh 2017, Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018 and Femina Miss India Punjab 2019. She then competed in Femina Miss India, where she ended in the Top 12.
Miss Universe 2021:
In 2021, She got the right to represent India at Miss Universe 2021. On 12 December 2021, She advanced from the initial pool of 80 contestants into the top 16, later advancing to the top 10, top 5, and top 3, before being crowned as the winner. She became the third Indian woman to win the crown following Sushmita Sen (1994) and Lara Dutta (2000).
