Iykki Berry Biography:
Iykki Berry aka Iykya Kamaraj is an Indian Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, and Surgeon. She was born on August 11 to C. Kamaraj and his Jayagowri in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India.
She did her schooling at Maharishi Vidya Mandir High School, Thanjavur and then finished her M.B.B.S from Sri Venkateswara Medical College Hospital and Research Center in Pondicherry,
Berry was initially started training from the famous playback singer Miss. Ramya NSK. Later she has joined KM Music Conservatory which is a higher education institution founded in 2008 by the music director A. R. Rahman.
She started her musical career as a songwriter. Her lyrics and tune caught the attention of the young Music producer Dev major and Rapper Jags Esan and thus she has dropped an English single “Cleo The Leo”. Since then, she has started improving her writing skills.
She then had moved to Chennai, and started recording demos and learned how to write songs, rap and compose. During this time, Music producer Dev Major developed the stage name “Iykki Berry” as a derivation of the Berries which are rich in vitamins (as she deals with the skin and hair treatments), and “iykki” that was her nickname and mostly called by her beloved father.
In 2021, She participated in the famous reality show ‘Bigg Boss Tamil 5’, hosted by Legendary Actor Kamal Haasan.
