Arvind Singh Biography:
Arvind Singh Thakur is an Indian Rower and He was born on Monday, June 17, 1996, in Khabra, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India.
In 2017, Arvind joined the Indian army. He represents India internationally in lightweight double sculls. Initially, he was interested in cricket and athletics.
He didn’t know anything about rowing while serving in the Indian Army, Indian Olympian Bajranglal Takhar introduced him and his rowing partner Arjun Lal Jat to this sport. He along with Arjun trains at Army Sports Academy, Pune.
In 2018, he and Arjun Jat were picked up as reserves for the Jakarta Asian Games. In the following year, Arvind and his partner Arjun won their first international medal by taking home a Silver medal at the Asian Rowing Championships in Chungju, South Korea.
The duo next qualified for Tokyo Olympics in lightweight double sculls after finishing second at the Asian qualifying event in Tokyo, Japan.
