Sonam Malik Biography:
Sonam Malik is an Indian wrestler and She was born on Monday, April 15, 2002, in Madina Village, Sonipat, Haryana, India. She comes from a family of wrestlers, her father Rajinder Malik is also a wrestler and competed in local tournaments.
Sonam inspired her father and decided to pursue her career in wrestling and joined Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Sports Complex. She then began her training under Ajmer Malik. Apart from wrestling, she’s currently pursuing her degree in Bachelor of Arts from Jat College in Rohtak.
She then participated in several junior district and state competitions and won medals for her state. In 2016, she debut her debut at National School Games and won her 1st national Gold medal in wrestling.
In the following year, she won a Silver medal at the 2017 Cadet National Wrestling Championship. Later that year, she won a bronze medal in the 2012 Cadet Asian Wrestling Championship followed by, a gold medal in the 2017 Cadet World Wrestling Championship.

In 2019, she won the gold medal in the women’s freestyle 62 kg category at Cadet World Wrestling Championships held in Bhiwani. In January 2020, She secured his Olympic berth after reaching the final at the Asian Olympic Qualifier tournament in the 62 kg category.
