Yashaswini Singh Deswal is an Indian Sport Shooter and She represents India in a 10-metre Air Pistol event. She was born on Thursday, November 5, 1987, in Delhi, India. Her father SS Deswal is an IPS officer serving as Director-General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police and her mother Saroj Deswal is a Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Panchkula.

In 2009, at the age of 12, She took her interest in shooting and in 2012, She began her professional training in shooting under Tajinder Singh Dhillon. She won the first medal of her career by winning gold in the 10m air pistol event in School Nationals 2012 held in Pune. She then participated in the state and junior competitions and won many medals.

Two years later, she made her international debut at the 2014 youth Olympics and finished 6th in the final of the 10m air pistol event. In the same year, she won her first international medal by winning silver in 10m air pistol women youth at the Asian shooting championships.

In 2015, she won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol event in junior nationals and entered into the senior team. She next won gold in the women’s 10 m pistol team at ISSF junior world cup 2016 held in Qabala. Followed by, she then won 2 silver medals, in 10 m air pistol and women’s 10 m pistol team at issf junior world cup 2016 held in Suhl.

In 2017, she won a silver medal in 10 m air pistol at the Asian junior shooting championships held in Kuwait city. Two years later, in 2019, she won a silver medal in the 10 m air pistol mixed team at the Asian shooting championships held in Doha.

Later that year, she won a gold medal in 10m air pistol women individual and also won a silver medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team at the ISSF world cup held in Rio de Janeiro, brazil. By winning gold at ISSF world cup 2019, she secured her berth in the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
